Youfoodz Meal Plans for Gov. Subsidy Customers
Summary
In July 2025, Youfoodz successfully launched its dedicated Meal Plan offering for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) customers via the Youfoodz Care platform.
This initiative expands Youfoodz existing self-service capabilities through the delivery of a purpose-built solution for NDIS participants seeking subscription-style Youfoodz product bundles.
The project's successful execution reflects a significant cross-functional effort across multiple business units and time zones, marking a crucial step in diversifying and growing our non-core Youfoodz revenue channels.
Value Drivers: Care x Customer x Convenience
-
Ready-to-Heat Meal Bundles: At launch, customers can select from four pre-defined bundles of best-selling ready-to-heat meals.
-
Streamlined Ordering and Enhanced Convenience: The introduction of ongoing meal plan options eliminates the need for one-off weekly orders, thereby providing consistent meal delivery and improved convenience for high-need customers and their support networks.
-
Service Level Agreements (SLAs and Split Invoicing): To facilitate consistent meal pricing and effective management of NDIS funds, customers and their plan managers enter into a formal SLA. Invoices are developed with a 70/30 split so that eligible participants can claim their 70% meal preparation and delivery reimbursement from the NDIA.
-
Competitive Tiered Pricing: A tiered pricing structure for quantities purchased has been implemented to ensure Youfoodz remains competitive within the Gov. Subsidy market.
-
Flexible Ordering Process: The meal plans offer flexible delivery scheduling and operate without traditional subscription B2C contract, allowing participants the ability to pause deliveries if required, for instance, during hospital stays.
-
Dedicated Customer Support: The programme is supported by a team of 20 trained Customer Care agents proficient in setting up Meal Plan SLAs and providing comprehensive support for the Youfoodz Care service via a dedicated contact number: 13 MEAL (13 6325).
What's to come?
Future enhancements for meal plans are planned, including greater meal customisation and opportunity to include other products in plans (small meals, cold meals, drinks, snacks, sides), alternative ordering methods, and the rollout of meal plans for Home Care Package recipients.
