How does invoicing work for NDIS Participants?

1. Confirm Your Eligibility
Check if your plan or program includes meal preparation and delivery support. If so, you can use your funding towards the cost of our meals.
2. Place Your Order
Simply browse our menu, pick your favourites, and place your order online or call 13 MEAL (13 6325).
3. Claim Your Reimbursement
After your order, you'll receive an email confirmation with an invoice with the 30/70 split, which you can use to claim up to 70% reimbursement.

Eligible NDIS customers will only pay 30% of their order total at checkout. The remaining 70% is processed automatically through our new partner, Care Access.

What is the NDIS?

How can I check if I qualify for NDIS-subsidised Youfoodz meals?

How does the NDIS funding work?

The NDIS covers meal preparation and delivery expenses, but not ingredient costs, which are classified as "day-to-day living expenses" (source:https://www.ndis.gov.au/understanding/supports-funded-ndis/reasonable-and-necessary-supports).

Participants with meal preparation and delivery in their NDIS plans pay 30% for ingredients, while the NDIS covers 70% of the total expenses, including both meal prep and delivery.

Are you a registered NDIS meal provider?

No, we are currently not a certified NDIS meal provider. However, self managed and plan managed participants have the option to choose Youfoodz as their preferred meal supplier through self-service.

Is there a lock-in contract?

As NDIS participants, you enjoy the flexibility of ordering Youfoodz meals without lock-in contracts, allowing you to order whenever it suits you, without any commitments.

Please note that this flexibility is specific to NDIS participants. Typically, Youfoodz operates on a subscription basis for other customers.

How can I check if I'm eligible for NDIS?

Please verify whether your NDIS plan covers meal preparation and delivery or if it provides funding for a support worker to aid in meal preparation. If so, you can utilise your NDIS funding to contribute towards the cost of our meals.

If you require assistance with meal preparation and delivery, but it is not explicitly outlined in your NDIS plan, you can reach out to your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or Planner directly. They can send an email confirming that core support can be flexibly used for meal preparation and delivery.
